TA Construction has been a strong and sound member of California’s construction industry for over 30 years.  In that tenure we have developed long lasting client relationships.  This effort includes many successes like our selection to be a regional partner throughout the State of California for one of our clients.  Along with providing competitive and competent general contracting services, the company offers various alternative project delivery systems including design build and construction management.

Today, it is our continued goal to provide quality service to our clients, delivered in a timely and competitive manner by employees who are organized and dedicated to building relationships with our clients and colleagues.

Our Team

RICHARD G. TITUS
PRESIDENT EMERITUS

Mr. Titus has more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, with expertise in all areas of responsibility that are required of a general contracting firm. Additionally, he is a registered architect and has done graduate study in the field of business administration, real estate and development. Through his architectural and construction background he has been responsible for buildings of every type from small remodeling projects to multi-million dollar facilities for commercial and institutional use.

Mr. Titus is active in civic affairs of his community and also provides responsible leadership for his church. Mr. Titus teaches classes related to the construction industry at Fullerton College, Fullerton, California.

T. JAY TORGELSON
PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Jay Torgelson leads the company in its preconstruction, estimating and project management functions. Jay’s background comprises of 25+ years in the construction industry. The majority of those years were right here at TA Construction. Jay’s background in several positions within the company gives him a depth of understanding regarding all facets of the construction process. His involvement in both ground up and major renovations give him insight as to the pitfalls of the process, enabling him to guide his clients and project through the problem areas before they arise.

DAVE STEWART
PROJECT MANAGER

During the 40+ plus years in the construction industry Dave has had the opportunity to follow the natural progression from the building trades into the management levels that bring a great perspective to his supervisory style. He has outstanding organizational and computer skills, a keen awareness to documentation making his supervisory skills excellent. Over the years Dave has worked on numerous churches, schools and commercial projects throughout the State of California. Dave’s responsibilities are the coordination of the work activities and the goals of the owner, architect, and subcontractors to complete the project in accordance with your objectives.

JAY JARVIS

Jay has performed as Superintendent on seven of our recent church projects. He brings with him over 19 years of experience in the construction field. His hands-on grasp of multiple trades and of the balance from laborers to supervisors, customer/company needs and productivity, with quick problem-solving is another quality he brings to each job. His performance since joining our firm reflects a high level of integrity, efficiency and incisive ability to meet our required objectives. He served as superintendent on the LDS churches in Sah Diego/Point Loma facility and the Carlsbad/Oceanside recently. Currently he is supervising a worship center in Pomona, California.

GEORGE SUPER

George has been employed by TA Construction on numerous projects during the past 10 years. He has over 40 years in this industry and has demonstrated his expertise on several occasions with increasingly demanding responsibilities involving churches, several of them being LDS facilities, commercial, public works and retail. He has always been shown to be competent, with professional attention to detail and takes pride in generating quality work, performance and achievement. In addition, George has been the owner of his own construction company, which only adds to his value as one of our superintendents.

JACK RUNNELS

During the 20 plus years in the construction industry Jack has had the opportunity to follow the natural progression from the building trades into the management levels which brings a great perspective in his management style. He has excellent organizational skills and a keen awareness for documentation making his supervisory skills excellent. Over the years Jack has worked on retail projects and on a national level throughout the United States on several churches and schools. He is currently working on our $4 Million private school addition.

RENE GRADILLAS

Rene brings to TA Construction over 30+ years in our industry bringing with him skills ranging from, supervision of projects including industrial and commercial properties both new construction and remodel projects. Rene has extensive computer skills, using them for scheduling, and keeping his jobs on a timely completion program. He has always been shown to be competent, with professional attention to detail and takes pride in generating quality work performance and achievement.

ANDREW GREGG

Andrew Gregg brings over 15+ years of construction knowledge to our firm. He is able to take on a multitude of tasks simultaneously and problem solve effectively. He is efficient in coordinating projects with architects, inspectors and subcontractors in order to ensure on-time completions. Andrew’s experiences in multiple different trades as a installer himself really comes as a huge asset as he is not only experienced in their trades but can easily pick up or take care of minor items himself which only aids in closeout and completion of projects.

CHARLIE BUCKRIDGE

Charlie has brought to TA Construction 20+ years in our industry with skills ranging from supervision of projects including churches and other commercial properties. Charlie, uses his computer skills for his scheduling, and keeping his jobs on a timely completion program. He has completed several church projects for us and always been shown to be competent, with professional attention to detail. He takes pride in generating quality work performance and achievement.

MAX LIEDTKE

Max brings over 30 years of construction knowledge to our firm. He formerly utilized his skills in the construction of commercial facilities. He is efficient in coordinating projects with architects, inspectors and subcontractors in order to ensure on time completions. Max, like many of our superintendents, is very skilled in trade work himself which provides him with a great set of skills to draw from. Max has extensive knowledge of construction software programs and holds his own contractor’s license. He has currently been supervising our Northern California projects.

DEAN DAVIS

Dean brings to TA Construction more than 30+ years in our industry. He possesses skills ranging from supervision of projects including schools, churches and other commercial properties. He has completed several church seismic retro-fits since joining our firm. Dean has extensive computer skills for his scheduling, and keeping his jobs on a timely completion program. He has always been shown to be competent, with professional attention to detail and takes pride in generating quality work performance and achievement.
